Majlis Delegation Departs for Geneva to Attend Trade Confab

TEHRAN A four-member delegation from the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Majlis) left here on Wednesday for Geneva to take part in the first ever seminar on international trade to be attended by world Parliament representatives.

During the three-day seminar, the four Iranian MPs will outline Iran's stands regarding the international trade and the process of globalization, IRNA said.

Globalization from the viewpoint of trade, role of parliaments being played as an intermediate between people and governments, the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the current international trade system, role of parliaments in legislation and parliamentary supervision with regards to future of trade dialogue will be among various topics to be discussed by the participants in the seminar.

Rasoul Sediqi Bonabi, Gholam-Heydar Ebrahimbay Salami, Hassan Sobhani and Ahmad Maidari are the four Majlis deputies attending the seminar.
